Having recently filed our income taxes, this email came as a mild surprise:
The From field seemed a bit sketchy, but, hey, maybe the IRS subcontracted their email vendor after having lost much of their staff in the name of efficiency.
The attached PDF document seemed scant:
Yeah, I’m definitely clicking that link …
getting more of these – I won’t even look at the PDF -sometimes they have a lot of hidden text – I am guessing to try and get around spam filters etc. Telling me there is a problem with my crypto account, or a bonus from my “recent” stay in a hotel chain I have not stayed at in over 20 years, and the list goes on.
