This chipmunk has been hanging out near the collection of yard & garden tools on the patio:
When threats appear, the critter vanishes into the clutter and waits until we go elsewhere. It’s almost as good as the roof gutter pipe!
Those stripes remain surprisingly visible in the shadows between stacks of clay pots, though, if you know where to look.
The Smell of Molten Projects in the Morning 
I found that chipmunks will burrow into loosely rolled-up deer/bird cloth if they can. Burrowing out couldn’t happen, making spring setup kind of grim. If I have any deer cloth now, I keep it in chipmunk-proof storage.
They’re cuter than ground-squirrels, and leave the zucchini alone, so I’ll give them a pass. Racing stripes for the win!
