I’m trying to figure out if using those for Jack-‘o-Lanterns would increase or decrease the candy demand.

They’re spectacularly hideous in person, so I’d go for “decrease”…

A bit of poking around suggests they’re a Somewhat New Thing: Goose Bumps and Knuckle Head varieties.

As with all IP, there shall be patent litigation. [sigh]

Julie just called me to watch a little TV news segment on an odd tomato–one grew to a great facsimile of a rubber ducky. We have a variety that has odd growth patterns and tumors, but not as cute as the duck. (Slietz Siletz, a hybrid developed in Oregon for our weird climates).

[Edit by RCP: Er, “Siletz”, no surprise, it’s a town in Oregon.]
